The pandemic was an adjustment for everyone, but specifically Pamela Long, a badass mom, wife and owner of a branding agency, Little Big Brands, with incredible clients and amazing projects.
Pam was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2013, and was diagnosed again in 2020. She had a radical hysterectomy, 28 straight days of radiation and 9 rounds of chemo. She's battled appendicitis, countless biopsies and the emotional side effects that go along with all of it.
"When I was starting my second battle with cancer, a friend sent me a pair of Fighting Pretty boxing gloves. Not only was it unexpected and awesome, it really changed my mindset (which was scared and depressed). I hung them on my car rear view mirror and they were a daily reminder as I drove to radiation and chemo treatments that someone thought that I could do this.
Going through cancer, you often hear ’you’re so strong,’ and a lot of time you don’t feel that way. Fighting Pretty reminds women of their strength and beauty and I’m a believer that your mindset can help affect your physical outcome. I’m excited to help share this message with other women battling cancer.
Now, Pamela Long is here to fight alongside all women "Fighting Pretty" through cancer as a board member and member of our community.
Her quick wit, fashion sense and big heart is exactly why we need Pam on our board to help steer the ship and engage our community to provide empowerment, inspiration and so much more!
Pam was interviewed on BizJournals.com as she talks about her life lessons through it all. Read on for inspiration right here.
