Honored to be an empowered woman, empowering women.
A few months ago, I started teasing our Instagram followers about some great opportunities coming up, but that I couldn't yet share. Well, now it's time.
When I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago, I did not think I would be modeling, sharing my story, walking around teams of people in my skivvies, let alone running a non-profit globally. Ten years ago, I thought having breast cancer would be the worst thing that ever happened to me.
The thing is, having breast cancer and then coming out of it has actually filled my life with positive energy and exciting opportunities. And it's brought me closer to people like me; people who genuinely care for others. And it reminds me that we are not alone.
Gap Body reached out a few months ago and asked if I would be part of their new launch of "Love by Gap Body" an effort to showcase empowering women who empower women. The shoot was amazing, but the end result gives me chills.
The effort is bigger than the Gap products it showcases. It reminds us to throw away insecurities and embrace who we are as gorgeous warriors.
I have to be honest, posing in advertising photos in nothing but a bra and a pair of panties was certainly intimidating, but it did not last long because all I could think about was how much love and support this campaign is spreading.
I am honored and humbled to be a part of the Love by Gap Body campaign and am so thankful for the continuous love and support they have shown for Fighting Pretty.
