A night of sweat, sparkle and inspiration.
How do I even begin to describe the amount of love and strength in one room?
Lianne Shaffer, a local Burncycle celebrity and kick-ass breast cancer survivor started the night off with founder of Burncycle, Jessi Duley, to inspire us all to take on the 2nd BURNMVMT ever - an event where people come together to sweat, burn, and raise money for a great cause. There were about 200 men and women doing lunges, burpees and squats all for the love of Lianne, and the support of Fighting Pretty.
Dirty Pretty, a new brewery in Portland rounded up inspirational women they knew to brew their very first pink ale called "Battle Brew." This blonde ale infused with raspberry and blueberry (and a little bit of glitter) was the featured beer at the event, and has now been distributed to some of the best bars in Portland to name a few:
- Loyal Legion
- Etc Eatery
- Jackknife
- Growler's Taproom (SE Hawthorne location)
- Strum Guitars
- Twenty First Ave Kitchen and Bar
- Beer O'Clock
- Capitol Bar
- Bye and Bye
- Oven & Shaker
- Belmont Station
- Dig A Pony
Plus a portion of all sales will go to Fighting Pretty for the time the beer lasts!
And let's not forget the gorgeous women who were truly Fighting Pretty. Check out these photos taken by the talented Lauren Miles. They were featured all along the wall at the BURNMVMT event and it was incredible.
The night started with a work-out and ended with a dance party. It was sweaty. It was sparkly. It was inspirational. It was dirty and it was pretty. It was Fighting Pretty at it's best.
Huge thanks to all those that attended, all those that donated, all those that planned, all those that gave their love. THANK YOU from the bottom of our dirty pretty hearts.
Now who's ready to join us at one of these bars around Portland for a pink Battle Brew?
Because It's the Tits!
